Antique hand-colored etching titled Travelling in France or, Le départ de la Diligence, depicting a horse-drawn French stagecoach. Dating to the early 19th century, the scene captures travel in post-Napoleonic France before the arrival of the railway.
Professionally floated in an antique gilt frame retaining its original cognac velvet liner and ornate floral gilt detailing. Finished with UV-protective, anti-glare museum glass. Beautiful original materials with age-appropriate patina.
